Senate Bill 1953 SPC2/NPC3 Compliance Program

Senate Bill 1953 requires all California general acute-care hospitals to meet graduated structural and nonstructural seismic strengthening requirements by established deadlines of January 1, 2002, 2008 and 2030. Four hospital facilities within the County of Los Angeles’s healthcare system are required to comply with SB1953. They are Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, High Desert Hospital, Martin Luther King, Jr/Drew Medical Center, and Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. The total estimated construction cost is $109,800,000. MSS is providing our services throughout the design and construction of these projects.
